Shape the Future of Indirect Procurement (IPRO) at reMarkable

As Head of Indirect Procurement you will lead a transformation. This is a rare opportunity to build a modern, digital procurement function with full support from senior leadership, and make a meaningful impact on the commercial performance.

Your purpose is simple but ambitious: Migrate all indirect spend centrally and build a scalable, technology-enabled procurement organization across 13 departments. 

By fostering strong supplier partnerships and internal stakeholder relationships, you will help reMarkable become a frugal‑minded organization where each department takes ownership of its costs. IPRO will serve as a strategic enabler, not a policing function.

• Own, develop, and continuously improve sourcing processes and policies.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing policies and processes

• Drive visibility and control over indirect spend across all categories

• Enable effective reporting with traceability and scorecards 

• Lead contract negotiations and define commercial terms with suppliers

• Build strong supplier relationships to position reMarkable as a preferred customer

• Optimize pricing and service levels through strategic engagement and performance management

• Ensure supplier practices align with reMarkable’s sourcing policies and processes.

• Align sourcing processes and policies with the needs of departments across reMarkable.

• Build trusted relationships and act as a strategic advisor.

• Conduct market analysis and present insights to inform sourcing decisions and business planning.

• Establish clear communication and decision‑making protocols to harmonize cross‑functional collaboration.

Leadership

• Design and implement a robust, scalable sourcing organization that supports long-term growth

• Champion adherence to sourcing policies and processes, embedding them into the organization’s culture.

• Strengthened supplier relationships and predictable governance processes

To thrive as Indirect Sourcing Lead at reMarkable, you will need strategic depth, leadership experience and the ability to operate comfortably in fast-evolving and ambiguous environments. You know how to prioritize impact and move ideas into action.

• Experience in managing indirect categories 

• Sourcing strategy experience 

• Experience being a leader to senior sourcing experts 

• Strong financial literacy and understanding of cost structures

• Negotiating secure competitive terms and conditions such as, pricing, and service levels 

• Building trust, drive alignment, and collaborate across diverse functions and stakeholders

• Data-driven, comfortable with spend analysis, KPIs/OKRs, dashboards, and analytics 

• Building scalable procurement processes.

• Experience with procurement systems (e.g. SAP ERP, e-sourcing, analytics platforms)

• Background in leading cross-functional or change-management initiatives

• Insight into vendor sales dynamics e.g. payment gateways

• Experience in paper tablets (preferable) and/or broader consumer technology sectors, bringing industry‑specific knowledge to sourcing and supplier engagement
