Method engineers wanted: Drive construction excellence in carbon capture projects

Description SLB Capturi is a leading carbon capture technology company.

We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. Through our portfolio of projects, we are mitigating the environmental cost of industrial activity for a cleaner, more sustainable future. We see a daily growth in our market potential as a rising number of customers look to carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and our company to solve their emissions challenges.

SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

We are now looking for 2 Method Engineers.

As a Method Engineer in our construction team, you will be participating in all relevant phases of a project i.e feasibility studies, FEED projects, tenders and the awarded contracts. The degree of your contribution in these phases is flexible and are determined by the type of project, study and/or Feed. It’s a multi-discipline role where you will be responsible for the big picture within construction, installation, planning and operation.

What will you be doing?

• Contribute to developing an overall main execution method and present this method in the project to safeguard ownership and implementation in the project organization

• Give advice and input to project management regarding scope of work split between subcontractors, site capacity and/or any obstacles that may affect the chosen main and detailed methods

• Manage interface with other relevant disciplines and clients (subcontracting, planning, procurement, fabrication engineering, logistics, construction site team)

• Prioritize HSE in the development of method statements

• Organize and lead construction method meetings and other relevant meetings as required.

• Be proactive in risk assessments including follow-up / take action on risk-reducing activities.

• Support and advise site installation team, subcontract manager, planning manager and fabrication engineering manager

• Establish and manage detailed method statements

• Proactive notification of potential changes to scope of work

Your qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with structural, piping, or mechanical background

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience

• Minimum 2 years construction site working experience

• Fluency in English, tech-savvy with Microsoft office, and a genuine interest in construction and problem-solving

• You are a self-motivated individual with a positive mindset and a strong team player

• Proactive and a good communicator who enjoys working with customers and vendors

It's a plus if you have

• Knowledge of 3D modeling programs -- Navisworks preferably

• Multidiscipline background and experience

• Former experience with method engineering
