As a Customs Compliance Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our global cross-border operations meet all customs and trade compliance regulations. You will play a strategic role in building robust customs procedures, overseeing compliance activities, and acting as the focal point for internal stakeholders and external authorities.

Master’s degree or an MBA in a related field or relevant customs training like “Tollskolen”

Minimum five years relevant work experience from a similar role -- relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education

Very good knowledge of international trade

Experience in export controls, customs compliance

Good knowledge of trade related laws and regulations including incoterm, classification HS knowledge is highly valued

Preferably experience from working in an international organization

Proficiency in Norwegian and English (oral and written)

Ensuring compliance with customs legislation, export control, and trade regulations across all group companies.

Developing, implementing, and maintaining customs compliance strategies, policies, and internal guidelines.

Managing and overseeing customs declarations, audits, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and adherence.

Monitoring customs law updates and translating them into clear operational procedures and training.

Acting as the contact for customs authorities, auditors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Supporting and guiding internal teams with customs knowledge, training materials, and day-to-day compliance inquiries.

Driving continuous process improvements to optimize customs and trade compliance efficiency.
