At Kongsberg Discovery, we develop advanced technologies that help create safer, smarter, and more sustainable operations at sea. We are now looking for a Product Manager to join our Vessel Robotics team and drive the development of autonomous underwater robotic solutions that help shipowners improve vessel performance, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, innovation, and customer value. Together with our strategic partner Jotun and highly skilled engineering teams, you will help develop products that operate in some of the world's most demanding marine environments.

The role

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle from strategy and roadmap development to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with customers, development teams, system architects, and external partners to ensure our solutions meet both market needs and future opportunities. You will act as the bridge between customers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams, ensuring we develop solutions that create real customer value.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. What you will do
  • Own and develop the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Jotun, customers, and engineering teams to define future solutions.
  • Identify customer needs and translate them into product improvements and new business opportunities.
  • Support evaluation, testing, and validation of new products and services.
  • Present products and value propositions to customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to the long-term growth of the Vessel Robotics portfolio.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, cybernetics, electronics, computer science, or a related field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • Experience from product development, technology development, or related technical environments.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to work across disciplines.
  • Commercial mindset and interest in understanding customer needs.
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive progress in a collaborative environment.
Why join us?
  • Work on cutting-edge technology with global impact.
  • Be part of a highly competent and collaborative team.
  • Contribute to sustainable and innovative maritime solutions.
  • Enjoy opportunities for professional and personal growth.
  • Competitive compensation and attractive employee benefits
