Job Description

At TOMRA, a global leader in technology, our Systems & Architecture team is a dynamic group of systems engineers and system architects who bring deep expertise and enthusiasm to their work. We manage a diverse portfolio of innovative hardware and software products, continuously expanding into new and established markets worldwide. With TOMRA's ongoing growth, we are constantly developing exciting new products and solutions.

We are seeking a System Architect to join our team and help define and evolve TOMRA Collection’s system architecture across hardware and embedded software products. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on collaboration and technical leadership.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Translate business needs into system requirements and system architectures and lead architectural decisions and risk assessments (safety and security).

Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on concepts and technical solutions.

Support product managers with market requests and new ideas.

Contribute to technology roadmaps and scoping of new projects.

Participate and take lead in continuous improvement of systems engineering methodologies.

Who are you?

Solid background from systems engineering, systems architecture, preferably in embedded systems or hardware-intensive environments.

Proven ability to align technical solutions with business strategy, offering architectural leadership and mentoring.

Trustworthy and self-driven, with demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and the ability to drive architectural decisions.

Msc or Bsc in technical subjects

We would you believe that you are truly quality minded, and that you always strive for excellence. You should be comfortable communicating both in Norwegian and English, and at the same time doing it from a business perspective and a technical perspective.
