Automation technician

The position as Automation Technician for Kongsberg Ferrotech involves development and assembly/testing of our Control systems, as well as service tasks and possibilities for periodical work offshore/on remote locations.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Selection and implementation of control system components and solutions

• Selection and calculation of cables and connectors

• Perform assembly, configuration and testing of KFs systems

• Participate in system tests and commissioning of the robotic systems

• Maintenance of our robots

• Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation

Personal qualities

• Relevant technical education within automation, mechatronics etc.

• Understanding and experience with electronic circuits, sensor technology, motor drivers and control systems.

• Experience with hardware integration and troubleshooting is an advantage

• Practical, hands-on experience is an advantage

• Team player

• Problem solving skills

• Excellent Norwegian and English communication skills - written and oral
