Axess is a global provider of digitally enabled asset integrity management and engineering services across oil and gas, renewable energy, maritime and infrastructure. We have 28 years behind us, more than 1,000 full-time personnel, and 34 offices in 26 countries. We are headquartered in Molde with six further offices in Norway, and we have worked on over 800 assets worldwide. Local presence combined with a global delivery network means you can be based in Norway and work on projects in the North Sea, West Africa, Brazil or Southeast Asia. Few companies of our size let an engineer see that many types of assets in the first few years. What you will work on
- Inspection and maintenance programmes for hulls, tanks, structures and process systems, from the risk assessment through to the annual plan the client works from
- Materials and corrosion assessments, and evaluation of findings and damage, including remaining life and fitness-for-service assessments
- Inspection data from NDT, drone survey, ROV and 3D models, and what it says about the condition of the asset
- Direct work with clients, and with our own inspection and maintenance teams offshore and at yards, finding solutions that can actually be carried out
The engineering judgement is the job. The tooling is how we get to it faster, and it is where we differ from most of the industry.
- Bridge is our own data platform, built and maintained by Axess Digital and used across our client portfolio. Asset, inspection and maintenance data is held in one structure, and clients log in to see the current condition of their assets.
- You will work on digital tools daily - Either in field or from the office, and your project experience goes into the product roadmap related to developing our Bridge platform.
- We use AI tools to speed up document review and drafting, including extracting information from drawings, class rules, datasheets and historical inspection reports
- We use scripting, typically Python, for data preparation and analysis rather than working through spreadsheets by hand
- Bachelor or master in marine technology, mechanical engineering, materials technology, corrosion, chemistry or similar. Recent graduates are welcome.
- Interest in learning new tools quickly
- Good English, written and spoken. Norwegian is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel on assignment in Norway and abroad
- Any programming experience is a plus, whether from studies, own projects or work
If you already have experience with RBI, RCM, API or DNV standards, you will use it from the first week. If you do not, that is what we will teach you. Your first year
You get a mentor and you work in a team with people who have done this on other assets. Asking and digging are expected. Nobody can know something they have not been told, and we would rather you ask twice than guess once. Responsibility grows as you are ready for it, and you meet clients with a colleague alongside you. What we offer
- Structured training and certifications, next to engineers who have worked on more than 800 assets
- A software platform in active development that you can influence, rather than a finished tool you inherit
- Projects worldwide, and travel for those who want it
- Competitive pay, insurance and pension
Location: We will consider candidates at all our Norwegian offices; Harstad, Orkanger, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger and Oslo. Tell us which ones work for you.
We read applications as they come in, so apply early. Attach diplomas and transcripts.
