We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to oversee our Lifeboats and Davits (LBD) product lines. This is a unique opportunity for an innovative and strategic individual to drive the success of key products in commercial shipping, defense, offshore, and wind segments.

About the position
As the Product Manager (PM), you will be responsible for the overall success of the Lifeboats and Davits (LBD) products. This includes the development and execution of product strategies, managing product life cycles, and ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends. You will work closely with R&D, sales, and marketing to ensure our products remain competitive and innovative.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive and grow a profitable product business for LBD

Develop and maintain product category strategies
-
Create and communicate product value propositions and differentiation based pm segment input
-
Support Segment sales teams with product knowledge and strategy
-
Set product price positioning and manage pricing guidance
-
Lead product life cycle development and define next-generation product enhancements
-
Act as the product expert, bridging technical knowledge with commercial insights
-
Interface with R&D and Product Engineering to own product specifications
-
Conduct competitor benchmarking and communicate market trends
-
Drive product launch activities and lead cross-functional coordination
-
Generate market-driven ideas for product development and enhancements
-
Support regions with product training, marketing material, and customer visits
-
Collaborate with marketing to create relevant materials for product promotion
Necessary skill set
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in product management, and a strong understanding of product life cycle management. Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are in your DNA.
We are looking for someone who has:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, or related)

Proven experience in product management, ideally in the maritime or offshore industries

Strong understanding of product life cycle management and product development
-
Understanding of and/or experience with boats is a clear advantage
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally
-
Ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a dynamic environment
-
Willingness to travel (approximately 30-50 days per year)
