Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?You will play a key role in supporting construction and installation activities on-site, ensuring technical quality and effective coordination across disciplines. Your responsibilities include:

Reviewing and working from technical documentation (e.g., FC-30105-000-A07-EN.pdf)

Assisting production teams in resolving technical challenges during construction and installation

Interpreting drawings and job specifications to support execution
-
Preparing work packages and technical documentation in collaboration with shop engineering
-
Ensuring installation locations and methods are optimized for constructability and HSSE compliance
-
Maintaining close communication with work leaders (FIL), method teams, shop engineering, PRE, and other stakeholders

Promoting strong HSSE performance throughout all activities

Interfacing with IT/IS systems related to engineering registers, Navis, and MIPS

Coordinating closely with production teams to ensure alignment and progress

Collaborating across disciplines (EIT, piping, structural, civil, HVAC, etc.), as well as with suppliers, subcontractors, and planning departments

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I). Relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education

Valid certifications in FSE, practical first aid, and EX course

Solid understanding of “as-built” drawings and mechanical interface drawings, with hands-on field experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, MIPS, and E3D

Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
