As a Business Controller at Viking Assistance Group, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial business analysis, with a focus on optimizing margins and profitability for Viking units and their franchisees. You will be part of the controller team at the headquarters in Oslo and report directly to Head of Controlling.
In this role, you will act as a key sparring partner for the Head of Controlling, the CFO, the department, and colleagues across the Nordic countries and Europe. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Viking delivers on its vision of becoming the leading and most customer-friendly assistance company in the world.
The position involves analyzing the Group’s financial performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing concrete initiatives that contribute to increased profitability and efficiency. As a Business Controller at Viking Assistance Group, it is essential that you have a genuine interest in “digging into the numbers,” identifying opportunities, and being solution oriented. On your own initiative, you should contribute with proposals for solutions, action plans, and results.
Responsibilities-
Prepare and follow up on budgets, forecasts, and performance reports

Analyze variances and financial development, identify root causes, and initiate concrete actions

Prepare business cases and profitability analyses

Contribute actively to the company’s overall value creation, goals, and results

Present proposals for cost reductions and improvements

Contribute to further developing Business Controlling, including analytical work, towards best practice; continuously act as a driver for improvements and proactively propose solutions

Support business areas and project managers both internally and across countries with financial insights and decision-making support

Higher education in economics (Bachelor/Master in finance, accounting, and/or economics)

Documented experience of 4+ years in controlling, auditing, analysis, or similar

Solid experience with Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems

Strong numerical understanding and analytical skills, combined with a commercial and solution-oriented mindset

Experience from larger international corporations is an advantage, but not a requirement

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English
