Senior Developer - AI-First Architect

We are seeking a visionary Senior Developer to join our Bergen office - a key role for driving our technology transformation.

In this role, you will combine your deep experience in system architecture with a strong passion for modern AI tools and methodologies.

You’ll be instrumental in developing new and groundbreaking services, working closely with our CTO and innovation teams.

We need a professional who embraces AI-driven development to streamline processes, minimize delays, and deliver efficient, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Develop: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance systems in a microservice architecture.

• AI Integration: Leverage AI tools, AI agents, and large language models to optimize development workflows and reduce manual overhead.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, and stakeholders) in an agile environment to deliver innovative features.

• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, promoting best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies, continuously seeking ways to enhance efficiency and product quality.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all software is robust, well-tested, and optimized for maximum speed, scalability, and security (we are ISO 27001 certified).

Skills and Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience:

• 5+ years in software development, with strong expertise in both backend and frontend systems.

• Proven experience in architecting and building microservice-based systems.

• Demonstrable experience in backend development using Golang or Rust.

• Deep knowledge of React and Next.js, with a strong grasp of modern web development practices.

Mindset:

• A clear passion for AI-driven methodologies, with a keen interest in integrating AI tools and techniques into software development.

• A proactive approach to adopting new technologies that streamline processes and cut down development time and time to market.

Core Competencies:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and scalable architecture principles.

• Experience with agile methodologies, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing.

Language:

Excellent command of English; Norwegian language skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.

• Background in integrating AI/ML frameworks within production systems.

• Understanding of API design, event-driven systems, and modern DevOps practices.

• Prior exposure to analytics, business intelligence tools, and large-scale API product development.
