Head of Logistics

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Head of Logistics for Kongsberg Discovery (KD), reporting to the Executive Vice President Supply Chain. You will be a part of the Supply Chain Team delivering reliable, flexible, and responsible Supply Chain, delivering our customer commitments. You will be responsible for Logistics, including warehouses, transportation and forwarding.

In this role, you will be shaping and implementing the new Logistics set up as well as heading the Warehouses and the Forwarding functions. The role will be responsible for managing Kongsberg Discovery’s logistics area, as well as working on a strategic and tactical level and be part of the Supply Chain Management Team.

• Heading the logistics function in Kongsberg Discovery.
• Responsible for warehouses and forwarding functions.
• Develop strategy for logistics aiming for growth and enabling multi-site set up
• Specify and take part in the development of systems, solutions and procedures for new set up in Vision WMS Automation, Robotics, Digitalization: Scanners, Interfaces, etc.
• Lean and efficient operation in the logistics area, good service and right cost level and net working capital
• Increase cooperation with internal and external customers, establish procedures and routines for good cooperation.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business engineering or IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience and understanding of WMS and IT systems.
• Comfortable working collaboratively to solve problems.
• Leadership experience
• 5-10 years of experience working in Supply Chain within Logistics.
