JAPEX Norge is looking for a Reservoir Engineer playing a key role in enhancing company value through detailed technical evaluations, partner engagement, and reservoir management oversight.

The role spans the full E&P cycle, from exploration, through appraisal and field development planning, to production forecasting and reservoir management.

You will represent the company in licences contributing to robust and value creating subsurface plans together with the Operator and partners.

Business Development is key for the Company to achieve its growth ambitions in Norway and you will be a key contributor in these activities. This includes providing reservoir engineering evaluations in screening, due diligence and asset reviews, helping assess subsurface potential, risks and uncertainties for acquisitions and farm in opportunities.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stavanger. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering results in a dynamic environment. You will join a multicultural subsurface team where collaboration, adaptability, ownership and initiative will be key to integration and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent JAPEX Norge in licenses, attend partner meetings and manage production performance.

• Perform BD evaluations and attend data rooms.

• Provide reservoir engineering analysis for production and development assets.

• Reserves reporting as part of company's annual reserves reporting process.

• Build, update, maintain and QC reservoir models, including history matching.

• Production forecasting using simulation and analytical methods.

• Establish production prognosis for drilling targets.

• Provide reservoir engineering input to prospect evaluations and early discovery studies.

Qualifications and experience

• MSc in Reservoir Engineering.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong familiarity with modern reservoir engineering tools and best practices.

• Experience with NCS assets and regulatory processes is an advantage.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
