Join our Legal teamRamboll Norway’s Legal department is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to strengthen our team. Locally, you will join a small, high-impact team of three legal counsels led by the Head of Legal, supporting all of Ramboll’s Norwegian markets. Globally, working with approximately 50 legal counsels across our main jurisdictions, you’ll be an integrated part of our legal support function --- collaborating with colleagues across jurisdictions, sharing insight through our knowledge platforms, and working with standardized legal tools and processes. Our work is dynamic, fast-paced, and varied---spanning all project types and sizes, from single-discipline assignments to large-scale design-build contracts valued in the billions. You will help align local delivery with Ramboll’s global legal standards, systems, and risk frameworks.

International contracting standards and cross-border risk management
A core part of our mission is to act as a proactive legal partner to the Ramboll’s Norwegian business across the full project lifecycle---giving you end-to-end responsibility from tender to completion.
Your key responsibilities-
Negotiate, draft, and review contracts
-
Shape contract strategy and provide hands-on legal support throughout project delivery
-
Manage and follow up on claims and disputes
-
Deliver internal training and upskilling to Ramboll’s business
-
Collaborate with global Legal colleagues to harmonize approaches and share best practice
-
Leverage Ramboll’s global legal systems to drive efficiency and consistency
-
Contribute to global legal playbooks, templates, and governance standards
-
Ensure alignment with Ramboll’s compliance frameworks (e.g., data protection, anti-corruption, trade sanctions) in Norwegian projects

Licensed attorney in Norway (advokatbevilling), with substantial experience either in private practice or as in-house counsel, ideally 6+ years

Master’s degree in Law (LL.M./ Master i Rettsvitenskap.)

Strong expertise in contract and construction law

Advantageous: interest and/or experience in corporate governance, company law, public procurement or competition law

Experience in a global organization is a plus; comfort operating in a matrixed setup is beneficial

Proven track record of independently handling complex matters, project advisory, or dispute resolution for consultants/architects, clients, and/or contractors---across both public and private sectors

Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across disciplines; fluent in Norwegian and English. Working language is both Norwegian and English.
In addition to being strategic and clear in your advice, solid commercial acumen will help you succeed in this role.
