Build user-friendly solutions for a global insurance business

Instech Solutions has developed software for the marine and energy insurance industry for nearly 30 years. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian Hull Club, we combine deep industry knowledge with technological ambition and financial stability.

We are now looking for a full-stack developer to join the team responsible for developing and improving applications used across Norwegian Hull Club.

You will work across the stack, but we are particularly interested in developers who enjoy frontend development and creating intuitive, reliable and maintainable solutions. Working close to both the technology and its users, you will be able to see how your work creates value in everyday operations.

The positions are based at our office in Bergen and are not remote roles. We value close collaboration and believe strong technical environments are built through daily interaction and shared presence.

What you will work with

You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle - from understanding user needs and discussing possible solutions to implementation, testing and continuous improvement.

Our technology stack includes:

• React and Blazor on the frontend
• .NET and C# on the backend
• Azure App Services, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL
• REST APIs and event-driven integrations using Service Bus
• CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub

We work in a Kanban-based setup with close collaboration between developers, architects, product owners and users. You will have the opportunity to influence technical choices, frontend patterns and how the applications evolve over time.

What we are looking for

You are a full-stack developer who particularly enjoys working on the frontend. You understand the importance of the complete application but are especially motivated by creating effective interfaces and good user experiences.

You have at least three to five years of relevant development experience and can recognise yourself in several of the following:

• Experience with React, Blazor or another modern frontend framework
• Experience with .NET and C#, or a strong motivation to work with this technology
• Understanding of APIs, integrations and modern web applications
• An interest in usability, visual quality and consistent frontend design
• A structured and quality-oriented approach to development
• The ability to collaborate with both technical colleagues and business users

You do not need to know every technology in our stack from day one. A solid technical foundation, genuine curiosity and motivation to continue learning are equally important.

Experience from business-critical systems or industries where quality, accuracy and reliability matter is an advantage.
