Why become an Esgian?As Commercial Manager/Director at Esgian’s Offshore Rigs department, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and supporting the company’s continued market expansion. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring a results-driven professional who can balance new business development with nurturing long-term client relationships.
You will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are aligned with Esgian’s offerings and strategic direction.
The main responsibilities of the position include:- Drive regional sales initiatives for Esgian’s product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market opportunities.
- Identify and approach potential clients in the offshore sector, building strong relationships that lead to new business.
- Maintain and grow partnerships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term collaboration.
- Meet sales targets and budgets by delivering revenue growth aligned with company objectives.
- Work closely with product management, research, and leadership teams to align client needs with Esgian’s offerings.
- Represent Esgian at client meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote solutions and build networks.
- Share market insights and client feedback to inform product development and enhance value delivery.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with management to support strategic planning.
- Keep detailed records of client interactions and sales activities, ensuring accurate use of CRM tools for the rig team.
- Actively contribute to the team’s social media presence to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of proven sales experience preferably within the offshore Oil & Gas sector; relevant experience in other industries will also be considered.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments and time zones.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about the offshore and energy markets.
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to fostering a positive team culture.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- We offer a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary, performance-based commission, and participation in Esgian’s stock option program.
- Relocation to Norway not offered.
