About NORCE Climate Systems and Climate Services division

Our division has approximately 60 researchers conducting both basic and applied research on past, present and future climate. About the position

Depending on the competence and background, we would like to involve the candidate in ongoing projects, such as the Horizon Europe project ACACIA (Anticipatory Climate Adaptation for Communities in Africa), the NORAD-funded project ARCS (Agricultural resilience through climate services), and Climate Futures which is a centre for research-based innovation. ACACIA and ARCS aim to provide at-risk people in sub-Saharan Africa with climate information to strengthen their resilience to droughts, flooding, and tropical cyclones. In Climate Futures, we work with more than 30 partners, spanning several sectors, including renewable energy, aquaculture and agriculture, insurance, and public administration, to co-develop better methods and practices for climate risk management.
