User Experience Engineer for Collaboration Devices

Our client is looking for a User Experience Engineer to cover a temporary position starting in November. The assignment will run for six months, with a good possibility of extension. About the role

The Devices RoomOS and Core UI team designs the human-technology interaction that powers modern collaboration across meeting rooms, shared workspaces, and hybrid work. They sit at the convergence of hardware, software, and AI, shaping how people meet, share, control devices, and move through collaboration experiences with clarity and confidence.

This role will support focused product design work across Core UI, RoomOS and meeting services. You will work with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to improve defined product areas, create usable concepts and prototypes, and help make complex device experiences feel simple, reliable, inclusive, and visually refined.

Work tasks

• Support the design of user interfaces and product experiences across digital and physical devices, with a focus on clear, usable, and consistent interaction patterns

• Create concepts, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for defined features or product areas

• Apply user-centered design methods, research insights, and product feedback to improve usability, accessibility, and overall product quality

• Partner with product, engineering, research, and design stakeholders to understand requirements, technical constraints, and user needs

• Validate concepts with users or internal stakeholders, iterate based on feedback, and help turn design work into polished, shippable product experiences

• Contribute to design resources, patterns, and guidelines that support consistency across products and platforms

We are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in UX, HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Cognitive Science, related field, or equivalent experience

• Minimum two years of experience designing digital product experiences, preferably across enterprise, collaboration, hardware-software, or connected device products

• Experience taking defined product features from requirements through design exploration, iteration, and delivery

• Proficiency with Figma and vibe coding tools to create flows, interface designs, prototypes, and handoff-ready design documentation

• Excellent written and verbal English

• You who has a valid work visa in Norway

• An example of your portfolio with examples showing the problem, you role, design solution, and outcome

Preferred qualifications:

• Have experience designing for collaboration tools, meeting room technology, connected devices, or workplace experiences

• Is familiarity with Core UI patterns, design systems, accessibility standards, and component-based product design

• Have experience working with engineering teams to design within technical, platform, and hardware constraints

• Strong communicator with visual design sensibility, able to explain design decisions clearly and collaborate across product, engineering, research, and design.
