Do you like things to be in order? Are you the kind of person who notices when something is out of place -- and wants to fix it?
We are looking for someone who understands the value of structure and control in technical projects. Document Control (Configuration Management) is all about managing product structures and documentation, in addition to keeping track of changes.
As a Document Controller, you will play an important role in keeping our projects organized and moving forward. You will work closely with all departments to make sure everyone is working with the right documents and the latest information. You will be responsible for coordinating all changes -- whether they affect the project or the product, and making sure they are properly documented and communicated. Your job is to help us stay in control, avoid confusion, and keep things running smoothly from start to finish.
The tasks are varied, and you will:-
Prepare and follow up on configuration management plans in projects
-
Contribute to building product structures and ensuring reuse of components together with system engineering
-
Be responsible for managing changes to components and documents, and report change status to the projects
-
Be responsible for locking the product status at defined milestones/stages in the project (baselines)
-
Actively contribute to the further development of methods and tools within document control/ configuration management
-
Collaborate across projects and departments, and apply your expertise in the field
-
Education in engineering or a related technical field
-
Experience from either engineering, process, technical support roles and/or Document Control
-
Experience with PDM systems, ERP and MS Office
-
Knowledge of ISO 10007 (configuration management) is an advantage
-
Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
-
You are structured, detail-oriented, and committed to doing things properly
-
You take initiative, follow through, and handle deadlines with confidence
-
You communicate clearly and work well with others across teams
-
You stay calm under pressure and contribute to a reliable and well-organized work environment
We have flexible working hours and a hybrid work model. This is an independent role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape your own workday and take ownership of your responsibilities. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, trust, and responsibility. We work on systems that improve safety and precision for our allied military users. You will get the chance to grow -- both professionally and personally -- and work with colleagues from different parts of the company.
Where you’ll work:Our main office is on Nøtterøy until summer 2026. After that, we are moving to new offices in Skoppum (Vestfold). We also have an office at Solli in Oslo.
Security culture and clearance:We have a strong security culture and work systematically to protect people, information, and assets. As part of this, relevant candidates will undergo background checks, and the person hired must be able to obtain a security clearance in accordance with applicable national requirements.
We look forward to hearing from you!
