Ytri Island Retreat is a high-end destination located in the breathtaking Træna archipelago, far out at sea on the Norwegian coast. With 38 exclusive rooms, a Michelin-ambitious restaurant, sauna facilities, and a private marina, we aim to deliver world-class experiences rooted in nature, authenticity, and the unique atmosphere of the Arctic seascape. 

We are now seeking warm, professional and service-minded Waitres/Waitresses to join our team.

Arbeidsoppgaver

As a member of our service team, you will contribute to creating a calm and elegant atmosphere in the restaurant.

Your responsibilities include:
Welcoming guests and guiding them through the dining experience
Responsible for up to 20 guests, depending on occupancy
Ensure correct presentation and service of food and wine
Communicate dishes, wines, and the story of the retreat through natural storytelling
Collaborate with the kitchen and supervisor to maintain timing and flow
Set tables, prepare stations, and assist in closing routines
Work across departments — at Ytri, we help each other regardless of role or restaurant. We are one family, and everything we do is about creating harmony, flow, and the best possible guest experience
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment

Kvalifikasjoner

We are looking for candidates with:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in restaurant service, preferably in fine dining or high-standard hospitality
Confidence in guest communication and wine service (English required; Scandinavian language is a plus)
Ability to remain calm and present during busy service periods
A strong sense of rhythm, aesthetics, and attention to detail
Interest in food, wine, and Ytri’s story of nature and local roots
