We aim to strengthen our engineering team with a Materials Engineer and Data Analyst to produce foundational data for the RPD® process involving titanium, high-nickel alloys, and other metals. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining analysis methods and design values for RPD® materials, as well as building an in-depth understanding of the link between process conditions and resulting material properties. You will be part of the Eggemoen Technology Center team, working alongside experts in automation, mechanical design, software development, metallurgy, process control, and image processing.
What your days look like:-
Achieving in-depth knowledge of material science and metallurgy, especially Titanium and Nickel alloy metallurgy

Gain in-depth knowledge of the RPD® additive manufacturing process

Plan and perform tests and material characterization to expand the foundational basis for the RPD® process

Develop and analyze material data for RPD® material

Initiate and supervise material testing at external laboratories

Lead customer specific material testing qualification

Lead and take part in development projects for Process Documentation and continuous process improvements

Identify and secure IP opportunities

A university-level education in materials science, metallurgy, physics, or related disciplines

Industry or industrial research experience (considered an advantage)

Knowledge and experience in material characterization (an advantage)

The ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, multicultural environment with strong team dynamics

Preferably, familiarity with process industries, additive manufacturing, or aerospace technologies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
