Urban Pioneers is one of the fastest-growing Norwegian brands based in Søgne, Norway with high national and international growth and potential. We provide fashion clothes with a Scandinavian touch and comfort, but always with an Urban look.

We are now looking for a dedicated person to support our design team in Norway to help further build our brand and growth. You are an enthusiastic, forward-leaning and hardworking production developer with a "can do"-attitude and have a strong wish to deliver high quality products.

You will have the unique opportunity to help build our production team as the company expands.

The position is located in Søgne, Norway.

About the role:

You will work with production as a part of our design team. You will work closely together with our designers and buying department. You will be responsible for putting the designers ideas into production. Have the day to day dialog with our suppliers to make sure that specifications are followed, develop measurments charts and do fittings and quality control of all our products. You will help suggest suitable fabrics and trims for our design team to get the best product for our market. You will also be responsible for making sure our products follow all required standards and certifications. We will put a lot of trust in you and your technical skills, and it is important that you are comfortable with working independently and in a team.

As a product developer in Urban Pioneers you will be responsible for:

• Daily communication with suppliers to ensure specifications are followed

• Developing measurement charts, conducting fittings and quality checks

• Suggesting fabrics and trims to optimize product quality and market appeal

• Ensuring all products comply with required standards and certifications

• Maintain and update our systems with the correct product information. Make product plans in Excel and create products in our logistic system (SPY).

To be successful in the role as a Product developer for Urban Pioneers, we expect that you have:

• Several years of relevant work experience in the fashion industry

• Good technical skills in pattern making, garment fitting and measurment chart development. Sewing skills is an advantage.

• Good knowledge and experience in dialog with suppliers to make sure we deliver the best product to our customers.

• Experience in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

• Knowledge of fabrics and yarns to choose the best qualities for our products.

• Good communications skills, both oral and written in English is a criteria. Good communication skills in Norwegian is an advantage.
