We’re looking for a hands-on profile who’s ready to travel, troubleshoot, and take ownership of getting our systems up and running---on ships, in shipyards, and at industrial sites around the world.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for testing, commissioning and start-up of our control systems in projects in Norway and internationally. You will work closely with engineering, project management and customers, and play a key role in ensuring that our systems perform safely, reliably and according to specification.

What you’ll do:

• Commissioning and start-up of automation control systems based on PLC.

• Working with OMRON and Siemens PLC platforms.

• Functional testing of control systems, instrumentation and communication protocols.

• Planning and execution of Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

• Troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving during commissioning.

• Technical documentation from requirements to final handover.

• Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and commissioning methods.

• Periods of work on site in Norway and internationally (rotation-based).

What you bring:

• Education within automation, electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

• Solid experience with PLC-based automation systems (Siemens and/or OMRON).

• Experience from commissioning, service or project execution.

• Familiarity with P&ID, wiring diagrams, functional descriptions and Cause & Effect diagrams.

• Ability to work independently and structured in demanding project phases.

• Strong collaboration skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.

• Fluent in English; Norwegian is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Norwegian is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Experience with shipboard systems and classification systems is an advantage but not required.

• Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
