Join Maritime Advisory in DNV and help clients navigate decarbonization, digital transformation, and complex safety and performance challenges across the global maritime value chain. We are now looking for graduates who want to join our Maritime Trainee Program organized by the Norwegian Shipowners Association, starting in August 2026.You will be permanently employed in our Decarbonization and Performance Advisory unit within DNV Maritime. As part of the trainee program, you will participate in five sessions held in Oslo, Bergen, Ålesund, Singapore, and London over a period of 18 months. These sessions serve as platforms for exchanging experiences and building relationships, while also providing broad insight into the maritime industry - including economic, strategic, leadership, and organizational challenges.

Tackling client problems in decarbonization & performance (e.g., fuel/technology selection, CII/EE measures, GHG strategy, retrofit options

Our Høvik office is located in beautiful surroundings by the sea and can offer access to sailboats, kayaks, tennis courts etc. We have more than 30 activity groups for you to join, as well as gym facilities and a kindergarten located on our premises. It is also worth noting that we offer free parking and shuttle buses to and from Skøyen, Lysaker and Sandvika.

Master’s degree (or final year) with strong academic results and practical project experience (e.g., specialization project/master thesis, student projects, industry collaboration)

Ability to structure problems, analyze data (e.g., Python/Excel/Power BI), and communicate findings clearly in English (and preferably Norwegian)
-
Motivation to learn consulting craft: stakeholder engagement, facilitation, presentation, and report writing
-
Exposure to maritime sustainability, future fuels, electrification, digital twins/AI, or regulatory topics (IMO/EU)
-
Experience from student organizations, case competitions, internships or part time roles where you’ve worked with multidisciplinary teams and tight deadline

Fluent Scandinavian and fluent English oral and written
