Cyber threats are evolving faster than ever, and resilience is becoming a decisive factor for businesses and critical infrastructure worldwide. At DNV, our Cyber Security teams partners with organizations to anticipate risks, strengthen defenses, and build trust in a digital-first economy.
We combine expertise in IT, operational technology (OT), and industry-specific systems to help customers secure what matters most --- whether that’s safeguarding power grids, protecting maritime operations, ensuring trust in healthcare systems, or supporting other vital sectors.
Our teams work on high-impact projects where cybersecurity meets innovation, regulation, and sustainability. From shaping cyber strategies to testing resilience against advanced threats, we combine deep domain knowledge with advanced technical expertise to offer services in:
-
Cybersecurity assessments and advisory services.
-
Security for industrial control systems (ICS).
-
Governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) solutions.
-
Incident response and digital forensic analysis.
-
Security architecture design and penetration testing.
In 2026, we are maintaining our commitment to our trainee program to prepare the next generation of cyber professionals to meet these challenges head-on.
Joining as a DNV Cyber Trainee means becoming part of a mission-driven team that values curiosity, integrity, and continuous learning. You’ll be engaged with practical tasks, supported by experienced mentors, and empowered to contribute to meaningful projects from day one.
DNV is now looking for young professionals who are ready to start their journey with us in August 2026.
What to expect as a Cyber Trainee:
-
Develop your skills through training and certifications in areas such as risk management, red/blue teaming, compliance, and security frameworks.
-
Work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies, from ethical hacking and penetration testing to cloud, AI, and industrial control systems.
-
Experience multiple rotations across our Business Areas and join real customer projects; contributing to solutions that improve resilience in energy, maritime, healthcare, and other critical sectors.
-
Grow your professional network, both within DNV’s global Cyber community and through industry events.
-
Receive mentorship and career guidance from experienced cyber professionals.
-
Gain international exposure through cross-border collaboration or potential global assignments.
-
Be part of an innovative and inclusive culture where knowledge sharing, curiosity, and teamwork drive success.
The trainee program will last 18 months and will be individually tailored to each trainee to ensure that you get the right competence for your future role in DNV. You will be a permanent employee of DNV right from the beginning of the program.
