We are now looking for a Senior Engineerwho wants to strengthen our team at Lysaker and be part of the exciting journey that has just started.
Well Access Product group have global design responsibility for Well Access systems. This includes:
- Tubing hanger installations
- Xmas Tree installations
- Hydraulic Interventions
- Riserless Interventions
- Riserbased Interventions
- Plug & Abandon Operations
- Prioritize and manage personal workload while supporting multiple projects
- Mentor and coach less experienced team members on an informal and casual basis
- Operate with minimal supervision, ensuring self-sufficiency in task execution
- Conduct technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, aftermarket, and sustaining groups
- Identify and select solutions based on technical experience and established precedents
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in areas such as reliability, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical analysis to deliver effective solutions
- Provide evaluative judgments through the analysis of information to support work packages
- Manage internal and external interfaces effectively to ensure seamless project delivery
- Act as Lead Project Engineer for assigned projects, managing non-direct reports as required
- Support Lead Project or Tender Engineers during project execution phases, from concept and tendering to acceptance testing, including generating progress reports
- Participate in design activities, such as design reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, and risk assessments
- Contribute to the development of new technology, supporting innovation and continuous improvement
- BSc/BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant product experience, or an HND qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant product experience
- Managerial experience preferred but not essential (training will be provided)
- Proficiency in interpreting hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Knowledge of Subsea products such as XMT, IWOCS, Production Controls, or Trees
- Experience in the design, build, manufacture, or operational aspects of key IWOCS equipment, including Hydraulic Power Distribution, Chemical Injection Units, Hydraulic Response Analysis, Umbilicals, Reels and Deployment Equipment, Subsea Control Modules, Stabplates, Emergency Quick Disconnect Units, PLC-based controls, and similar systems
- Comprehensive understanding of surface and subsea equipment, including Intervention Systems, Hydraulic Power Distribution, Chemical Injection Units, Umbilicals, Reels, Subsea Control Modules, Stabplates, and Emergency Quick Disconnect Units
- Familiarity with industry standards, including ISO 13628-6, API 17F, ISO 13628-7, and API 17G
- Ability to attend design reviews and act as lead engineer
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, or electronic systems, including design, build, manufacture, or operational knowledge
- Proven ability to write testing procedures for hydro-electric control systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to present and reason technical solutions clearly to a variety of audiences
- Experience in providing technical and commercial support for studies, bids, and quotations
- Ability to guide and support team members effectively
