Bergen Tankers is seeking Chief Officer (C/O) for Tanker – Oil Chemical vessel under Norwegian flag for trades in UK waters.
Application Deadline: 22 April 2024
Working Hours: Full-time / 6 weeks rotation
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead deck officers and crew in daily operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Responsible for cargo operations
- Maintain and inspect equipment and systems on deck
- Participate in emergency situations and drills
- Play an active role in developing instructions and procedures
- Assist the Master in vessel operations and navigation
- Maintain vessel's stability
- Acting as the Ship Safety- and Security officer
Qualifications:
- Experience as Chief Officer on oil and chemical tankers
- D2/Oil/Chem advanced-BRM-STCW Safety-Ecdis-GOC
- Extensive Knowledge tank cleaning operations
- Familiarity with international maritime rules and regulations
- Experience from SIRE vettings
- Experience from working with multicultural crew
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team
- Proficiency in English language
