We are rapidly expanding into the Offshore Renewables segment and also joining market leading industry alliances such as the Windstaller Alliance together with Aker Solutions and Solstad.
In this growing market we are looking to strengthen our Commercial Team for inter-array cable-lay and seabed intervention services, by expanding the team with a team-oriented Commercial Manager with a can-do attitude who wants to join a fun, fast-paced and professional working environment.
The Commercial Manager shall contribute and support to the Company’s strategy and be responsible for managing the Company’s commercial process for further growth into the Offshore Renewable market. This by managing the process identifying key targets, pre-qualification/tendering activities and liaising with company’s technology department and stakeholders to ensure DeepOcean’s competitiveness and sound solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe key responsibilities for the Commercial Manager are:- Overall responsible for securing sustainable projects for the specific service line Develop and manage the commercial strategy
- Providing and advising on the contractual and commercial position of DeepOcean
- Monitor market and identify key opportunities
- Manage the Company’s pre-qualification and tendering activities/process
- Support Tender Manager identifying differentiators and winning criteria
- Support and advice during contract negotiations
- Responsible for weekly/monthly management reports
- Ensure that technical, commercial, and contractual offerings are sound and in accordance with Companys procedure and risk level
Foster a culture of contractual and commercial mindset, risk mitigation and optimisation of opportunity.
QUALIFICATIONS- Master’s degree preferably within industrial economics, economics, business- and/or contractual administration, law or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years working experience from contract and commercial management or from a similar role within the renewables sector or oil & gas sector.
- Excellent commercial mindset and contractual understanding, with a good knowledge of legal concepts relevant to the industry.
- Experience with relevant contract standards such as NTK, NS, FIDIC and/ or BIMCO is an advantage.
- Ability to effectively negotiate, along with high professional standards of written and spoken English are essential for the role.
Offshore Renewable industry experience will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
PERSONAL QUALITIES- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess people management and leadership skills and have a strong commercial awareness and experience.
- Strong co-ordination, organisational and liaison skills with the ability to seek and gain consensus solutions to business issues and challenges.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently as an individual as well as part of a multi-disciplined team.
Possess an eye for detail with an ability to produce work of a high standard and accuracy.
