Our Process Automation business offers a range of solutions for process and hybrid industries, including our industry-specific integrated automation, electrification and digital solutions, control technologies, software and advanced services, as well as measurement & analytics and marine offerings. ABB’s Process Automation-operations in Norway are in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Hammerfest and Stord.

The Automation department is responsible for developing and maintaining an organization within automation across all segments, both for service and larger projects. To meet the increased demand, we are looking for a new section manager at ABB’s office in our offices in Stavanger. The section manager will be responsible for local engineers and staffing projects conducted locally from the office and across locations, collaborating with other section managers and the department manager.

We are looking for someone who wants to further develop the automation organization at ABB, and who wants to work in a team with the rest of the office and the department. We aim to be visible, so it is important that you enjoy collaborating with others.

This position is suitable for individuals with a customer and employee-oriented perspective, network-oriented thinking, a high level of personal responsibility, and a desire and ability to acquire new knowledge.

Qualifications and qualities emphasized:

We are looking for someone who wants to continue developing our department in Stavanger, in close collaboration with other section managers in the department.

You must be structured and solution-oriented, with technical experience and understanding. It is important to be a team player with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, both with customers and colleagues. Additionally, we envision that you have the following:

• MSc/BSc in a relevant engineering field
• Experience with, or interest in, personnel management
• A strong desire to develop employees -- our most valuable resource
• High degree of execution ability
• Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and spoken, are a prerequisite.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in engineering and project execution; experience as a lead engineer or project manager is an advantage
• Knowledge of Control Systems
