For our Sales Marine team we have an exciting opportunity as Sales Manager available. The right candidate will be a part of an experienced sales and contract management team, covering the Marine market segments Offshore, Fish & Special Purpose Vessels, Seaborn & Pax and Naval & Governmental.
We are seeking a sales profile with a strong drive and ability to negotiate and close deals. You need to be highly motivated being in front of our customers presenting the unique selling points of our engine solutions.
Your key responsibilities:
- Key Account Manager for customers in Norway and primarily toward Asia
- Participate at relevant exhibitions and seminars
- Maintain and develop relationships with ship owners, designers, yards, and our established sales and service partners to Bergen Engines AS with the aim to grow the new sales and aftermarket business
- Monitor competitors and market trends
- Extensive travel will be required in periods (estimated 60-80 travelling days a year)
Your personal skills:
- Strong technical and commercial understanding
- Highly motivated team player
- Proactive and self-driven to follow leads from start to closing the deals
- Positive attitude who brings energy to the team
- Structured and systematic way of working
Your qualifications:
- Preferably a technical degree (MBA or similar) within the marine industry and/or minimum 5 years of experience within complex technical products / areas in the marine market. Relevant work experience can replace the need of formal education
- Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
- Good skills within Microsoft Office and Sales / CRM tools

Work location will be the engine factory at Hordvikneset, approx. 20 km north of Bergen city center.
