Technical Advisor
We are looking for a Technical Advisor to help grow our business in Africa. You will work in a technical sales and support team working the whole of Africa. The successful candidate will be able to qualify leads and help close opportunities by interacting with clients up to and including executive level. He/she will work closely with the production team to ensure the client is provided the appropriate level of technical feedback. The Technical Advisor works closely with the Solutions team within the Imaging & Integration department as well as with the regional sales team. The candidate will be part of the entire workflow from pre-survey feasibility studies, survey planning, acquisition, and data delivery. In addition, the Technical Advisor will be expected to actively maintain strong relations across client organization from technical staff, up to and including senior client executives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical support through the entire sales cycle
• Qualify leads and help close opportunities by interacting with clients up to and including executive level
• Increase customer understanding on the application of EM and demonstrate the value of EM data
• Contribute to technical work within the Solutions group as needed and directed
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Ideally, you have a university degree in physics, geoscience or a related subject. You will be expected to have a strong technical knowledge about EM and its applications, as well as knowledge of petroleum geology, the upstream oil and gas industry and the geophysical data acquisition business. In addition to extensive knowledge about EM, the role requires excellent functional skills such as teamwork, communication, presentation, time management, project management fundamentals and customer support fundamentals.
