About the job
We are looking for a primary school teacher to work as part of a highly motivated and collaborative teaching team. Our Primary Department offers the IB Primary Years Programme, a balanced curriculum that promotes the acquisition of key skills and behaviours through inquiry-based learning.
We work hard to create a very special learning experience for our students by employing inspirational teachers who respect every child and believe that whatever background or prior learning the child has, they have the capacity to excel.
This is a permanent full-time position, available from January 2025.
Qualifications and skills
We wish to recruit a talented and inspirational primary teacher with:
- HKDir approved teaching qualifications, or equivalent
- Excellent English language skills, both written and oral (minimum B2)
- Some knowledge of the Norwegian language would be an advantage
- The ability to use ICT to support and enhance learning within the classroom
- Confident and inclusive classroom management skills, centring on positive behaviour strategies
- The ability to differentiate learning in the classroom
- The ability to engage, motivate and support children's learning
- Strong interpersonal skills to create good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Teaching experience in lower primary
- Experience or knowledge of IB programmes (specifically the IB Primary Years Programme) would be an advantage

- Open minded, reflective and flexible with the ability to think creatively and take risks
- A passion for inspiring the love of learning in students
- A collaborative and consultive approach to teaching
- A commitment to continued professional development
