Work tasks

• Job Duties for Mechanical Foreman at Hammerfest Industriservice:

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance and repair activities on site and maritime vessels.

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring efficient work practices and adherence to safety protocols.

• Plan and allocate resources, track project progress, and ensure timelines and budget goals are met.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment aboard vessels and offshore facilities.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines at all times.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and personnel involved in each project.

• Monitor and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and in working condition.

Who are we looking for?

• You have proven experience as a mechanical foreman or supervisor, specifically in maritime or offshore mechanical services.

• You have in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance related to vessels and offshore structures.

• You possess strong leadership abilities and are skilled at managing teams, ensuring productivity, and fostering a positive work environment.

• You have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and solve complex mechanical issues.

• You are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.

• You have strong communication skills, and you can effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and project managers.

• You hold relevant certifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.

• Fluency in English or Norwegian is required; knowledge of any other languages is an advantage.
