As a Product Expert on the Navtor Performance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical success of our product suite. Your responsibilities will include providing subject matter expertise, collaborating with development teams, guiding feature implementation, and ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap. You will act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights. Staying informed about industry trends, assessing emerging technologies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Performance products will also be key parts of your role. Additionally, you will conduct training sessions and support customer-facing teams with technical insights.
The Navtor Performance team focuses on emissions compliance and performance analysis for vessel managers, owners, and operators worldwide. As the global leader in e-navigation solutions, Navtor provides deep insights and actionable intelligence to shore-side users and decision-makers. Your role will be instrumental in fulfilling Navtor’s vision: “Smart Shipping Made Easy.”
Your responsibility will be:- Technical Expertise:
Deliver detailed specifications, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria for product features.
Act as the product specialist, possessing deep knowledge of vessel performance and emission reporting regulations.
- Customer Support:
Provide timely resolutions to technical issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Serve as the primary contact for technical queries from Technical Support, Customer Success, and Customer Service teams.
- Maintain & Develop Reporting Standards and Schemes:
Ensure compliance with regulatory developments, including CII, EU ETS, and FuelEU Maritime.
Take ownership of reporting standards and continuously evolve report schemes to accommodate more vessel configurations.
Ensure flexibility and accuracy in report schemes.
Ensure that the reporting platform and schemes comply with regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on EU and IMO standards
Stay updated on emission reporting regulations, including IMO DCS, EU/UK MRV, FuelEU Maritime, and the Poseidon Principles.
- Develop and Maintain Validation Rules:
Collaborate with operational teams to develop and refine validation rules based on feedback.
Implement rules that enhance data accuracy and reliability.
Lead enhancements to the Data Validation App, ensuring it meets client needs and integrates seamlessly with the platform.
Establish and visualize data quality metrics, providing actionable insights to end-users.
Qualifications
Strong background in marine engineering or a related technical field.
Thorough understanding of product management principles.
Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to stakeholders.
Proven experience in market analysis and reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
