Amnesty International's Global Human Rights Education (HRE) team is looking for an experienced Senior HRE Advisor to support the Head of Human Rights Education (based in London) to design large scale strategic HRE programs, in line with Amnesty priorities and ensure the implementation and evaluation of the Global HRE Strategy.
The role will design and support movement led human rights education projects, and support the integration and alignment of human rights education with Amnesty International's campaigns, regional strategies, growth and engagement strategy, and thematic priorities.
The Global Human Rights Education team is based across Oslo and London, with regional and national peers based around the world. It is possible for the post-holder to work from a different location if the candidate is based in a country / territory with an Amnesty International Secretariat office and we are in a position to hire an employee in that location - please see link below to see our worldwide office locations: https://www.amnesty.org/en/careers/regional-offices/). The position is permanent full-time position.
Arbeidsoppgaver
As a Senior HRE advisor you will focus on:
- Design and implementation of quality global human rights education programming in consultation with the Head of Human Rights Education and in line with Amnesty's human rights priorities.
- Strategic collaboration with different parts of the Amnesty movement to ensure integration of HRE programming.
- Acceleration of human rights education through partnerships.
Kvalifikasjoner
- Expert working knowledge and analytical understanding of action-oriented human rights education methodologies, active participation and participatory methodologies and their implications.
- Experience of designing, implementing and evaluating human rights education programs in multi-country, multi-language, online and offline formats.
- Experience working on human rights issues around discrimination, intersectionality etc.
- Preferred experience in fundraising for programmatic work and managing funded projects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional written and verbal skills in English and preferably in one or more additional languages, like Norwegian / French / Spanish / Arabic

- You have designed and implemented large scale multi language, multicultural human rights education projects
- You have experience working with different pedagogical methodologies for online, offline, and blended settings
- You have the capability both to work on your own initiative and as a key member of a large and diverse team, often under pressure.
- You have experience of managing conflicting demands in a fast moving and changing environment, meeting deadlines, and adjusting priorities.
- You are committed, demonstrate responsibility, and show results
- You have great collaboration and communication skills
- You are passionate about human rights and motivated to contribute to the Amnesty movement
