About the Role

We seek an experienced Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to lead our AI strategy and development of bespoke AI solutions tailored for real-time data analysis, object detection, and situational awareness. As CAIO, you will drive the company’s AI agenda, overseeing the design and implementation of innovative AI and edge computing solutions that serve our clients in both civil and military applications. This role presents an opportunity to shape Tiepoint’s AI future within a dynamic, security-focused environment working closely with industry experts and operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic AI Leadership: Lead Tiepoint’s AI strategy, aligning AI initiatives with the strategic objectives of Tiepoint in key areas such as emergency response, environmental monitoring, and security operations.
• AI Development and Innovation: Develop and optimise scalable AI models and edge processing solutions for real-time data analytics, enhancing Tiepoint’s capabilities in demanding operational settings.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly within Tiepoint’s drone and data systems.
• Security and Compliance: Operate within the Norwegian security framework and international best practices. The role requires that candidates be eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Advanced AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and scaling AI models, particularly for real-time data processing. The ability to construct neural networks from scratch is essential, alongside a solid understanding of deep network architectures.
• Edge Computing and Data Analytics: Proven track record in edge AI and real-time analytics solutions, ideally within security-oriented environments. Finalizing models for deployment is crucial, including familiarity with frameworks to operationalize models effectively in real-world settings.
• Leadership and Project Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and overseeing complex AI projects.
• Security-Oriented Background: Experience in cybersecurity, defense, or intelligence is highly valued, reflecting Tiepoint’s focus on secure and impactful AI applications.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance: Due to the role’s nature, candidates must be eligible to obtain a security clearance if required.
