Can you imagine a future for you - and possibly your family in Eidfjord - an important part of the tourist destination Hardangerfjord?
Our prominent head chef for 2024 will for family reasons leave us after the 2024 season. We are looking for a chef that can start on 15 of April 2024 for the season and gain experience in our restaurant, to take over as head chef on a permanent year-round position for the Hardangerviddahallen restaurant from 2025.We want a goal-oriented and committed chef who can continue and strengthen the restaurant's reputation through daily operations. You must be motivating and enthusiastic, good at building team spirit among staff. You must be able to work systematically and purposefully to achieve defined goals and create good customer experiences.

Responsibilities:· Be the host and make our guests and groups feel welcome
· Manage the restaurant with the head chef
· Responsible for staff, training, budget and working schedules
· Follow up with suppliers
· Internal control and reporting
· Good teamwork with other departments in the center
· Work according to IK food and HACCP routines
Qualifications:· Education as a chef
· Experience from similar work
· Organized leading skills
· Time and cost oriented
· Good language skills

Norwegian Nature Centreis a modern experience centre for Norwegian nature, climate and environment and the most visited human created attraction in the area. The centre is also a visiting centre for the Hardangervidda National Park. In addition to the Nature Centre, we are also running Hardangerviddahallen restaurant and a gift shop. Norwegian Nature Centre is located in Øvre Eidfjord along the Norwegian scenic route Rv7 close to Hardangerfjord, Måbødal and Vøringsfossen. Norwegian Nature Centre's season is from the 01. April to 31. October, with daily opening hours from 10 am to 6 pm.
Hardangerviddahallen Restaurant is a modern restaurant and cafe where up to 200 guests can enjoy Norwegian food traditions combined with modern cuisine. The restaurant offers À la carte menu, buffet, group menu, and event menu. The kitchen is operating with one head chef and two chefs in the season.
