We need you to be a key actor to secure and improve the performance of Nexans key subsea plant, while being an ambassador of the Quality of Nexans products and services.
We are recruiting for a position of Process Engineer - Lay-up in the Halden plant technical organization.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for process technical documentation and update of standards.
- Responsible for follow-up of process technical data (Critical to quality and key process and product parameters) and for update of process capability accordingly.
- Drives process improvements (quality and competitiveness): Identify ideas and leads test runs for process improvements; Contributes to plant savings masterplan with proposals for process improvements.
- Identify investments and be a key actor during execution of investments.
- Together with the plant engineering team; contribute to development of manufacturing capability (ref product road maps, R&D projects) = Contribute to the "future thinking" mindset.
- Responsible for specification of new equipment into investment projects.
- Supports Nexans with process technical knowledge.
- Is involved, in cooperation with Technical and R&D departments and relevant stakeholders into qualification activities for new materials, new suppliers and new designs.
Desired qualifications:
- University degree BSc, MSc or similar
- Technical/engineering/industrial experience in the cable industry
- Wide exposure to preventive & analysis tools: 8D, analysis methods (Ishikawa, ...), SPC
- Communication skills and knowledge (interpersonal skills, listening, oral communication, presentation, questioning, reading comprehension, written communication)
- Understanding of Industrial KPI's.
- Language: Scandinavian and English fluent.
