Motor mechanic who has experience with marine pleasure craft
BOAT MOTOR MECHANIC WANTED
We are looking for motor mechanics who have experience with marine pleasure craft and a strong customer focus.
Job description / Requirements:
- Work independently with engine, drive troubleshooting, and overhaul.
- Have experience working with petrol outboard 2 and 4 stroke, and inboard petrol and diesel motors.
- Can troubleshoot and diagnose engine problems using modern diagnosis systems.
- Required to perform other tasks on the boats such as replacing/installing fixtures and fittings (handrails, lights and ladders), painting anti-foul, small fibreglass hull repairs, hull cleaning etc...
- Able to work inside our workshop or at the customer's premises.
- Can schedule jobs, plan-tooling requirements and provide spare parts list.
- Be outgoing and polite.
- Follow all health, safety and quality requirements.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and overtime where needed.
- Must be able to work independently, structured and tidy.
Education:
- Apprenticeship/fagbrev in mechanical, engine or similar is preferred.
- Fork lift truck licence is an advantage
- Training in with Mercury outboard motors and systems is an advantage
- Must have a valid driving licence.
