Excel/controlling assignment (50-100%) - work from home, flexible hours
Project description / required experience:
Our client is a large real estate investment and management company. The German part of the organisation has implemented an internally developed property management system. They need assistance with migrating data from the old to the new system.
When migrating the data there is a need to make manual assessments. The data to be migrated and assessments are related to tenants that have been billed in advance for heating and other property costs and they need to make sure they receive accurate settlements based on actual costs. How these settlements are calculated, and which share of these costs each tenant shall bear, is fairly complex. There is a need for great accuracy and control otherwise tenants will over/under-billed.
The client has established an Excel-based process, where one by one property is checked / corrected in excel, before it is loaded into the new system.
In total there are approximately 800 properties with a large number of tenants that shall go through this process. Total estimated manhours 2,000 - 4,000 and the work needs to be completed by end of October this year.
The load will be divided between several people, working full time or part-time on the project.
We are looking for:
- One person that will have a quality assurance / lead role. This resource will also be expected to process / migrate some properties as the quality assurance role will not require full time.
- Several resources that will process / migrate properties.
Key qualifications
- Proficient Excel users.
- Accurate and thorough with numbers.
- Critical thinking: There will be a number manual adjustments and assessments to be made. You will be expected to sanity check the numbers.
- English proficiency (working language is English).
The work will be lead and coordinated from Germany, but you will be working independently (with regular check-ins and deliverables). Work will be working remotely at a location of your choice (from home office) and working hours are flexible.
Project period:
Start: End of April / beginning of May. To be decided (you may possibly also be onboarded a little later if that suits you).
End: When the migration is completed (at the latest end of October 2024)
50-100 % time commitment. You need to set aside min 50% of your time to be eligible for the project.

The company is present in 9 countries and the property management system will likely be rolled out in all other countries. Migration support may also be required in other countries at a later stage.

Remote (Home office)
Office hours:
Flexible. No office hours. You work when it suits you as long as you deliver on milestones and partake in telephone/video meetings as agreed.
