Skuld Oslo 2 is now seeking a new Claims/Underwriting Assistant to primarily support Underwriters and Claims Handlers in the Business Unit in accordance with Skuld's values, vision and strategy.
The position reports to Senior Vice President, Head of Skuld 2.
General Responsibilities and Authority

Keep TIA updated with entries, documentation and invoicing

Assist with:

- Enquiries relating to covers and the extent thereof
- Ancillary and additional covers
- Draft quotations and assist handling renewals
- Update databases with entries, issuing statistics, lists and various other reports
- Marketing activities if required

Stay informed and gather knowledge about assigned market area of responsibility

Open, update and close files in TIA

Payment of invoices and claims and collection of deductibles

Print and file correspondence, documents and other material

General assistance in relation to claims handling according to agreement with the individual claims handler. The assistant is, over time, expected to acquire sufficient knowledge and experience to handle cases of lesser complexity (e.g. pre-loading surveys and routine crew- and cargo claims)

Ad hoc administration tasks

Work in compliance with current policies, instructions and guidelines in Skuld
Expected skills and competences
- Preferably one to two years of relevant work experience
- Will have authority to make decisions within individually set frames
- Good communication skills - internally and externally - verbal and written
- Language skills - English on high level, fluent in speaking and writing
