Preparedness coordinator

Preparedness coordinator will operate under the Safety Department, and report to the Director of Safety. Preparedness coordinator will have the responsibility for managing tasks related to planning, coordination, documentation and cooperation with other preparedness stakeholders that are working with Andøya Spaceport.

Working tasks/responsibilities

• Improving and managing our preparedness management system. 
• Plan and host different preparedness and crisis exercises (exercise manager) 
• Follow up safety plans and strategies for preparedness  
• Contribute to the evolution of operational safety processes, procedures and training  
• Contribute to the work of obtaining and maintaining licenses from the Directorate for Civil 
• Protection (DSB) for storage and handling of hazardous materials (Storulykkeforskriften)  
• Developing and maintaining a sound safety and preparedness culture within the spaceport and encouraging our partners and customers to comply with our standards. 
• Complete other tasks that are related to preparedness or safety 

       

Qualifications - education

• Minimum a Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant field;, risk management, technical safety, preparedness, fire protection and/or hazardous materials, occupational health and safety.  
• Professional education combined with practical experience can compensate for the lack of formal education  
• Experience from or work with public administration, is preferred  
• Proven skills in analysis and report writing are beneficial   
• Experience from process industry preparedness is beneficial  
• Experience from operational environments, e.g. launch ranges, aviation, oil and gas industry, Emergency departments or defense sector is beneficial 
• Experience with managing chemical registers 
• Fluent in written and oral Norwegian and English 

Personal qualities

• Structured and the ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• A good advocate for safety and passionate about creating a sound safety culture 
• Co-operative and willing to assist on a wide topic of tasks  
• Enthusiastic about working in a new space-environment and supporting of the development of Andøya Spaceport 
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements  
• Flexible  
• Have a heart for a good preparedness culture  

 

The candidate must be eligible to obtain a Norwegian security clearance
