Experienced Field Engineer

Our clients need to strengthen their workforce with experienced Field Engineers due to ongoing construction projects.

Areas of expertise:
Painting/surface treatment
Structural- and/or Piping knowledge
Software knowledge (E3D, AutoCad, etc.)
Fabrication checkout

Key responsibilities:

This is a job where you need to be present at the workshop wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our field engineers are tasked with managing technical functions, testing equipment, handling repairs, managing engineering projects, and conducting site inspections. Field engineer duties include inspecting and installing equipment and new technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research, and reporting on project status. Field engineers will make sure that everything works smoothly and engineering designs are being followed.

• Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain engineering issues
• Conduct research and studies on site
• Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
• Diagnose construction or machinery problems
• Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise
• Oversee repairs and technical improvements
• Inspect and test material and machinery for safety
• Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
• Supervise and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians)
• Draft and submit reports

• Experience from workshop industry
• Software knowledge
• Engineering education or relevant work experience
• Knowledge of Norwegian, but not essential
• Preferably a Norwegian work permit (timesaving)
• Driving license class B
