Senior Mainframe Infrastructure Specialist (IMS/z/OS) – Oslo

We are seeking Senior Mainframe Infrastructure Specialist (IMS/z/OS) – Oslo for our client in Norway.

Your Role:

As a Mainframe IMS Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll play a key role in designing, testing, and maintaining critical software systems. You'll be the backbone of system reliability and optimization, working with IMS subsystems, providing top-tier technical support, and implementing cutting-edge improvements.

Role Highlights:

• Install, update and coordinate Mainframe IMS subsystems and related ISV products
• Providing technical support: This includes troubleshooting problems and incident management
• Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards
• Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades
• Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services
• Installing/upgrading IBM IMS subsystem
• Monitoring of IMS regions, using tools like TMON
• Knowledge of administration tasks using various IMS DB/DC Commands.

What You Bring:

• 5 years and more experience as an IMS System Programmer or in a similar role
• Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration of IMS DB DC JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E proficiency
• z/OS System level Skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent and effective communication skills with colleagues and management
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Proficient in English (must have)

Bonus Skills:

• DB2, CICS, MQ, REXX experience
• ITIL processes and best practices

This position is open to candidates who are citizen of an EU country or hold a valid work permit for Norway.
