As our new Sales Specialist, you will be part of a team working with customers across Norway and Iceland.

How will you make an impact?
Reporting to the Commercial Leader for Laboratory Products in the Nordics, you will be driving above market rate growth by delivering value-based solutions in the application market. We ask you to build close relationships with our present and future customers in order to develop a detailed understanding of customer requirements including products and services to enable us to be a partner by fulfilling their critical requirements. You will also be working with our channel partners in Norway and Iceland to support them to find the right solutions from the Laboratory Products range and managing the relationship to reach the sales targets.

You will be working in an international atmosphere with internal stakeholders from various divisions and customers from a variety of backgrounds. That makes your day varying and exciting. The position includes up to 60% travelling and will be based in Norway.
What will you do?
• Develop and manage to a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon with Commercial management for the territory.
• Partner closely with the Genetic Analysis Sales Representatives and District Manager, as assigned, on account planning and lead generation as identified via workflow solution opportunities.
• Consistently and accurately manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using Siebel/SalesForce system and other designated IT tools.
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of next generation sequencing markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory.
• Utilize product and application to successfully conduct consultative and strategic selling presentations.
• Understand customer goals, priorities and challenges such that company solutions are best positioned to address customer needs.
How will you get here?
Education
We expect the ideal candidate to hold a Life Science degree within biotechnology, chemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or similar.
Experience and technical requirements
• Commercial experience in laboratory products and markets with documented results
• Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships
• Knowledge of the Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Consumables within Cell Culture, Biobanking and/or Molecular Biology workflows in the core market (Scandinavia) is essential
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English as well as one Scandinavian language
• Fully conversant with MS Office suite
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Self-driven with strong presentation skills
• A strong team player with proven ability to coordinate activities and influence actions across a Channel team of resources not directly reporting
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence people at all levels
