Our customer's Tranby Technology Centre is responsible for manufacturing activities related to qualifying new products and industrialization of new technology as well as delivering field-proven Subsea products such as XMT (Christmas trees), Workover Systems, and Boosting. Our site has modern facilities for R&D, Machining/Welding and Assembly/Testing.
The Application Engineering team based at our Tranby Technology Centre delivers project engineering services and product support to jobs in Aker Solutions' Products business unit but also studies, feeds and tenders activities. We bring forward the technical deliveries related to Workover Systems, XMT, Tie-in, Umbilicals, and Structures including related tooling from contract award to hand-over to client.
The Well access team is an innovative, dynamic, and highly competent team that develops and delivers advanced systems to perform well completion, maintenance, and intervention of subsea wells on depths down to 3000 meters.
We are now looking for Project Engineers who can strengthen our Workover System Controls Team (WP 7.3).
Responsibilities and tasks
- Establish and maintain documents, procedures, materials, and bill of materials
- Participate in Design Reviews within his/her area of responsibility
- Manage and execute project-related activities in accordance with project execution models and international standards
- Responsible for compliance to regulations regarding health, environment, and safety
- Report to Project Lead Engineer
Qualifications & personal attributes
- University education (BSc and/or MSc) in relevant engineering discipline, preferably Electronics or Mechatronics
- 3-5 years' of engineering experience, preferably within workover control systems for offshore and subsea applications
- Some knowledge and experience of subsea engineering processes/tools, preferably using SAP ERP system, project execution work processes and national and international codes and standards i.e. PTIL, API, ISO, NORSOK, DNV
- Commercial awareness and ability to take initiative and be structured in his/her daily work
- Good technical, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to travel both national and internationally
