HSE Advisor
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
We are looking for a HSE Advisor to be a part of the projects and the HSE Team. The Project HSE Advisor is involved in all Project HSE matters. The jobholder will provide a support function to Norwegian project management, ensuring adequate HSE support and input. The jobholder will promote the use of professional HSE tools, principles and objectives.
The HSE Advisor reports directly to the Project Manager for project activities, and functionally to the HSE Team Lead.
Key responsibilities:
- Align project documents, objectives and reporting with Company requirements
- Support project leadership in implementing the HSE management system
- Responsible for the co-ordination, preparation and delivery of the Project HSE Plan
- Ensure Subsea 7 HSE Risk Management Processes are applied to all project activities
- Supervise, co-ordinate and monitor HSE performance on projects
- Monitor the quality of incident reporting/investigation by being active and assisting in verifying the investigation status and documentation
- Ensure HSE visibility throughout the life of a project
- Support the Project relating to supplier HSE management
- Conduct HSE Inspections and Audits as requested
Qualifications:
- Professional qualifications within HSE. Long work experience could compensate for lack of professional qualifications in HSE disciplines
- A minimum of five years HSE working experience in projects, with at least two of those years dedicated to diving operations
- Capable of establishing HSE objectives that realistically reflect potential capability
- Able to apply broad knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislative requirements and Norwegian legislations
- Able to manage and record HSE deliverables with a high level of accuracy
Personal skills:
- Able to communicate effectively and comfortably at all levels
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision
- Understanding of clients' needs and ability to suggest and apply "fit for purpose" solutions
- Able to demonstrate enthusiasm and develop an enthusiastic approach to resolving problems
- Clear and effective oral and written communications skills in both Norwegian and English
- Structured and organised with good attention to details
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
