We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator for our team, who is enthusiastic about payroll and passionate about systems and digitalization, who is customer focused and has a can-do attitude -- and let us not forget, has a strong attention to detail.
The position will be part of our Payroll team based in Haugesund.
Please note: Applications will be handled on an ongoing basis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support our Payroll Responsible in the processing of monthly payroll end to end in a timely manner for approximately 400 employees in entities in Norway and Scotland.
- Assist with the implementation, development and testing of new HR/payroll system.
- Maintain data in the HR/Payroll system together with HR (new starters, leavers, other employee changes, etc.).
- Processing overtime and holiday pay.
- Controlling and processing expenses.
- Administer pension and other employee benefits (salary sacrifice schemes).
- Claim refunds from NAV on sick pay, parental leave etc.
- Assist with general reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- Ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
- Proactively handle first line payroll and pension queries from line managers and employees, and escalate where appropriate.
- Build relationships with internal and external clients through excellent customer service.
- Take responsibility to research and understand new/changing legislation and practices to keep the payroll function compliant and innovative.
- Streamline payroll processes and routines.
- Assisting with other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree within Economy/Finance or other.
- Payroll experience is preferred, but we are also open to give an eager-to-learn, motivated candidate with an interest in payroll and systems the right training to be our next payroll superstar.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

- You enjoy staying updated on relevant payroll topics, because this is an area you find exciting and interesting.
