Pharmacovigilance & Medical Information Manager
We are looking for a Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Medical Information (MI) Manager. In this combined role you are the local PV point of contact for the management of drug safety related topics: monitoring, tracking, reviewing and interacting with Health Authorities and Health Care Professionals.
You also liaise with other Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) functions on these aspects. In the MI role you are responsible for Medical Information related to the company’s products in Norway: you respond and document to enquiries from customers and health care professionals and support the local Sales, Medical and Marketing teams.

This is a central role within the medical department of BI Norway, reporting directly to the local Medical Director. You will be working out of our office in Asker.
This will be a one-year position with the possibility to turn into a permanent position.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintain local PV system according to local regulations and BI requirements
- Ensure safety data collection and reporting
- Update local leadership team about the performance of the local PV system
- Ensure collection and reporting of Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) from Clinical Trials
- Responsible for PV training of all local BI employees
- Document and respond to enquiries on company products and therapy areas within time scales agreed with the enquirer and in accordance with the company Standard Operating Procedure
- Provide relevant scientific, news and business information to colleagues in the Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical Departments
Requirements
- Master Degree in Life Science, Pharmacy, Medicine or Biology or other biomedical education
- Knowledge of the PV and MI importance is essential
- Prior work experience with Adverse Event Reporting or handling of medical information is a plus
- Experience in leading projects and horizontal leadership is a plus
- Excellent command of the Norwegian and English language
- Analytical and structured: able to structure and prioritize your work within the timelines
- Team oriented: good cooperation with colleagues but also able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills: service minded and professional
