You will be part of our Exploration Department team, which currently comprises of 11 staff members. You will take guidance from the Exploration Manager and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
The primary function of this role is the interpretation of geological and geophysical data and other relevant information to evaluate hydrocarbon exploration potential for screening studies, concession rounds, license & business development work.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide geophysical input to exploration work on the NCS and possibly international assets & opportunities
- Monitor competitor and regional exploration activity on the NCS
- Contribute to/run license application round work in Norway
- Participate in/run exploration committees
- Contribute to data-room evaluations for farm-in/farm-out activities
- Carry out integrated interpretation of geological and geophysical data and other relevant information to evaluate hydrocarbon potential
- Formulate recommendations for drilling, area studies, acreage acquisition or relinquishment
- Liaison with Exploration Geologist, Petro-physicists, Reservoir Engineers and Drilling Engineers to ensure cooperation in the evaluation of prospects & discoveries
- Guide and coordinate geophysical studies & regional work, and integrate study results
- Support operated drilling/seismic activities
- Provide input to geophysical software and geophysical data base issues
- Participate in peer reviews
Qualifications
Relevant M.Sc.
Personal qualities
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- High skills level in exploration & geophysics, specifically seismic to well ties, seismic interpretation, depth conversion, seismic data conditioning, seismic attribute analysis (AVO/LFP), prospect definition, geophysical de-risking, discovery delineation
- Experience with seismic processing or electromagnetics will be advantageous
- Geophysical software skills
- Relevant geological courses
- Ability to contribute actively to the team
- Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills
- Norwegian and/or Polish language skills will be advantageous
